At the 28th International ISFG Congress in Prague, the society has awarded two scientific prizes to two renowned colleagues during the General Assembly meeting on September 12°th, 2019. The prizes were handed over by ISFG president Walther Parson (Innsbruck).
Christopher Phillips (Santiago de Compostela; left) received the prize for his work on developing ancestry informative marker sets and improving knowledge of forensic SNP and STR markers.
Thore Egeland (Oslo; right) received the prize for his contributions to developing paternity statistics software and his enthusiasm in offering biostatistical training workshops.
