María Torres Español

PhD in Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela.Since 2003, she is in charge of the Agena Bioscience genotyping platform of the Genotyping National Centre-PRB2 in the Node of Santiago de Compostela. During her career,she has participated in the implementation and validation of new high capacity technologies for the analysis of DNA variation, as well as in several national and international projects. Several of the works she has participated in have been published in specialized journals (http://orcid.org/0000-0002-2658-0133)

She is a member of the Spanish Association of Human Genetics and the European Association of Human Genetics and she actively participates in practical training in genotyping technologies of undergraduate and postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers in the field of Biomedicine. She is also a frequent speaker in annual training courses organised by the Genotyping National Centre-PRB2.
